GW2 Dye List

This is no longer updated. It was a beta list… thank you

Here’s the list! Nearly entirely done. 372 dyes out of the mentioned 400. I’m still not sure if that’s going to be the official number of dyes and if that will include the starter dyes for each starter set or not. BUT as soon as I know, I will let YOU KNOW! Thank you to all the wonderful people around the internet who are also interested in getting this list complete. **See links at the bottom of the page**

Also, this is just an idea of what these colors will look like. Arenanet has explained that the dyes will look different depending on what type of gear you are dying. So, I tried to put up pictures of any cloth, leather and chain that I found so you can see the difference. Some colors don’t have much of a difference except when the light hits. What is seriously making me happy is that the colors are simply amazing, the names are interesting as well, like Humiliation, Envy, and Abyss. So far Blue Rose is probably my personal fav but take a look below and make your own choice but with 400 dyes to choose from, I’ll probably change on a weekly, if not daily basis!

Hi! Two things for the few greyed out colours you have:

Limette is a starting colour, the bright green one. There are 21 starting colours.

And I have Lemon Shade uc posted in my Brown section (or here: http://udolphogame.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/lemon-shade.jpg). I remember it because I unlocked it and I thought, “How is this lemon?” It’s a dark brown, occasionally with green. I guess yellow doesn’t lend itself to the shade hues.

Also, I have an uncommon colour called Dusty Grape (http://udolphogame.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/dusty-grape.jpg) that’s not on your list, that should fix the total when you remove Limette. And feel free to delete these comments once you update.

I have to tell you, I found your site simply by fluke. While playing the 3rd beta for GW2 (my first beta) I was Google-ing about a couple of dyes that landed in my bags and was wondering what they look like.
I want you to know I am highly impressed with the work and detail that went into creating a compilation of these dyes. What tedious work it must of been.
I just wanted to say “thank you”….very cool site and research. Thank you for the clothing examples too!

Its because of these colors, amongst other things, that I am really intrigued and intend to buy and play GW2. I have played a few other major mmo games…but this one….is pretty……and interesting….and I am partial to beautiful games with terrific artwork.

Amazing blog you have here with all the dyes very useful. One thing I’d like to suggest is to put the dyes in the correct category you have rare dyes in common (midnight ice). I also have sapphire so I’ll post that for you to use as well

your list sucks for now, its not complete at all and it got some heavy bugs in it. Even though its a nice try. A few pointers I saw in a few seconds were:
Ash dye (rare), cant find it anywhere
Midnight Ice dye (rare), u put it under the commons
